Who we are

This website is operated by Ohneul Co. of Seoul, Republic of Korea (“Ohneul”, “we”), the data controller for the personal data described on this page. In Indonesia, our products are imported and distributed by PT Emoba Global Indonesia, the importer and distributor of record. This policy is written with regard to Indonesia’s Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP) and other applicable data-protection law.

The short version: this is an informational site with no accounts and no on-site checkout, so we collect very little — and this page lists all of it.

What we collect, and why

• Your email address — only if you give it to us. If you type your email into the signup form or popup, we use it for exactly two kinds of email — new product launches and promotions — plus a one-time welcome note when you join. Nothing else. The legal basis is your consent. The address is stored and sent by Klaviyo, our email service provider, which processes it on our behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately.
• Aggregate site analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to see page views, referrers, country-level location, and device type — in aggregate. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, does not follow you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you as an individual.
• Advertising pixels (TikTok Pixel and Meta Pixel). This site loads the TikTok and Meta base pixel codes for every visitor. These pixels may set cookies or similar identifiers and send events — such as page views, buy-button clicks, and email signups — to TikTok and Meta so we can measure how visitors reach and use the site and build advertising audiences. We rely on our legitimate interest in measuring and promoting our own product as the basis for this processing; TikTok’s and Meta’s own use of the data is governed by their privacy policies. Most browsers and content blockers can block these pixels without affecting how the site works.
• Messages you send us. The contact form sends your name, contact details, subject, and message to our inbox. Delivery is handled by Resend, an email delivery provider that processes the message on our behalf; we use what you send only to reply and handle your request. You can always email us directly instead at hello@ohneul.co.

Browser storage (functional, not tracking)

The site keeps a handful of small flags in your browser’s localStorage and sessionStorage: your language pick; whether you’ve already seen the intro animation, the email popup, or a campaign announcement; a small counter behind a buy-button easter egg; and a one-time recovery flag used only if an old cached version of the site needs clearing. These exist so the site doesn’t repeat itself. They contain no personal data, are never sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser storage resets them. The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own — the only cookies involved are the advertising pixels’ own, described above.

What we don’t do

We do not sell personal data — not to advertisers, not to “partners”, not to anyone. We run no on-site checkout, so we never see your payment details: purchases happen on Guardian, Shopee, or TikTok Shop under those platforms’ own terms and privacy policies. And we do not collect anything this page doesn’t describe.

Sharing and international transfers

Personal data is shared only with the service providers named above — Klaviyo (email list), Resend (contact-form delivery), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and TikTok and Meta (advertising pixels) as described. Because Ohneul operates from Korea and our providers operate globally, your data may be processed outside Indonesia. Where UU PDP requires it, we take steps to ensure transferred data receives an adequate level of protection.

Retention

Signup email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Messages you send us are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation, then for a reasonable period in case you follow up. Analytics data is aggregate and is not tied to you.

Your rights

Under UU PDP and other applicable law, you may ask to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or withdraw the consent it rests on — for signup emails, the unsubscribe link in any email is the fastest route. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@ohneul.co or use the Contact button in the site footer; a real person reads every message. We may need to verify that you are the person the data belongs to before acting on a request.

Children

This site and our products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top. A meaningful change to how signup emails are used would be put to you as a fresh consent choice, not assumed from the old one.
